ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 01/27/2026 to 01/26/2027
Responsibilities:
- Support the design of new and improved user experiences through language.
- Write from scratch, edit existing copy, and develop nuanced solutions within existing patterns.
- Collaborate with design, product, engineering, marketing, localization, and other teams to develop messaging strategies.
- Partner with stakeholders on feature development, naming, and education.
- Work with engineers to address errors and edge cases.
- Prioritize multiple projects in coordination with the producer and writing manager.
- Ensure copy consistency across services by working with other writers.
- Engage with QA, legal, and localization teams to ensure proper implementation for diverse audiences.
Requirements:
- 8+ years in user experience design or writing.
- BFA, BA, MA, MS, or MFA degree.
- Experience working with UI and creating user experiences for apps including onboarding, feature development, settings, and education.
Preferred Experience:
- Writing for entertainment services such as music, podcasts, or media/social media apps.
- Experience with subscription services, plans, or other service-based applications.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $80 to $98/hr Zone One in the San Francisco Bay Area. Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
