VBA Developer
TITLE: VBA Developer
LOCATION: Remote
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 1 Month Project
Responsibilities:
- Review and assess the current macro-enabled Excel workbook with seven interconnected tabs.
- Optimize and refactor existing VBA code for performance, memory efficiency, and maintainability.
- Ensure correct data relationships across tabs, including validation and matching department names.
- Integrate external data sources, such as Google BigQuery, to populate dropdowns.
- Identify and enforce required fields.
- Detect and prevent invalid formatting issues like trailing or leading spaces.
- Auto-populate fields based on earlier inputs.
- Support copy/paste workflows used by engineering teams.
- Develop detailed technical documentation and user instructions for future maintenance and handoff.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with Excel VBA macro development, including complex, multi-tab workbooks.
- Strong understanding of data integrations and connecting Excel to external data sources.
- Ability to analyze existing code, identify inefficiencies, and implement performance improvements.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work with both technical and business stakeholders.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $50.00 to $60.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
