UX Research Coordinator (Contract — Travel Required)
Location: Chicago, IL + Travel to Client Sites
Schedule: Project-based, short-term sprints during research phases
Travel: Multiple weeks per project; expenses fully reimbursed
About the Role
We are seeking experienced UX Research Coordinators to support user research initiatives across a variety of client projects. In this role, you will help execute in-person research sessions, collaborate closely with UX and human factors teams, and ensure high-quality data collection to inform design decisions. What You’ll Do

Support and facilitate user research sessions in clinical and healthcare settings

Take detailed notes and observe user interactions in real-time

Moderate user interviews and usability sessions as needed

Prepare and organize research materials and logistics

Travel to various markets to conduct field research (up to multiple weeks per project, Sunday–Friday travel possible)

Deliver collected data and documentation to UX teams for synthesis and analysis
Who You Are

Experienced in notetaking and moderating UX and Human Factors research sessions

Familiar with medical technology and healthcare environments (e.g., infusion pumps, injectables, clinical device research)

Comfortable traveling for extended periods and working onsite with participants

Proficient with global project management tools/software

Organized, detail-oriented, and able to operate in fast-paced field environments

Strong communicator who can confidently interact with both users and cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills

Background in Human Factors, UX Research, Psychology, Biomedical Engineering, or related field

Experience working with medical staff, patients, or regulated environments
