TITLE: Senior App Dev

LOCATION: Atlanta, Ga.

DURATION: Fulltime/Direct Hire Hybrid

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop custom applications to support the Field Technology portfolio in Mobile and Rolling office applications used by Southern Company Gas.
  • Build and support Southern Company Gas COTS applications.
  • Develop solutions that leverage COTS systems rather than customization.
  • Create and modify Technical Design documents.
  • Collaborate with others to plan coding and program development.
  • Translate specifications into code that meets performance and coding requirements.
  • Modify existing software to correct errors, adapt to hardware changes, upgrade interfaces, and improve performance.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, maintain, and improve existing software.
  • Plan and participate in system testing.
  • Develop technology solutions and documentation for complex problems.
  • Plan and participate in deployment activities.
  • Maintain and follow production support processes.
  • Flex to meet customer demands, including production support and project work.
  • Prioritize work and deliver on project commitments.
  • Provide on-call support and assist other personnel.
  • Support and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Communicate effectively across technical and business levels.
  • Ensure strategies align with Technology Organization goals.


 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science, or a related field
  • Hands-on experience developing and maintaining enterprise applications using Microsoft technologies like .NET, C#, and SQL
  • Experience with frontend development platforms such as Angular and React
  • Experience with Azure and/or AWS cloud platforms
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and development principles
  • Understanding of mobile applications and related tools
  • Ability to handle multiple assignments and conflicting priorities
  • Ability to work with business partners and peers of varying technical proficiency
  • Experience with projects of all sizes, including enhancement projects and production support
  • Ability to identify root causes of issues collaboratively
  • Experience creating Technical Design Documents and Specifications
  • Ability to develop unit tests for code components
  • Knowledge of Agile methodologies such as Kanban and Scrum
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to provide on-call support and assist less experienced personnel
  • Strong technical principles and broad range of technical knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills, including translating technical ideas for non-technical audiences
  • ITIL Foundation certification or knowledge

The compensation range for this position is $120,000.00 to $124,000.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
