TITLE: Software Engineering Manager
LOCATION: Norcross, GA (hybrid 2 days per week)
PERM Position
Responsibilities:
- Lead and support a distributed technology team, including Software Engineers and Test Engineers.
- Ensure seamless execution and continuous development of engineering projects.
- Hire, mentor, and manage a team of 7+ engineers.
- Foster a collaborative, growth-oriented environment for team members.
- Oversee career development, performance, and professional growth.
- Manage the software development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, on-time delivery.
- Collaborate with product management to define and execute requirements.
- Identify and remove impediments for consistent team delivery.
- Establish technical specifications and ensure adherence to design patterns.
- Build, operate, and maintain reliable software systems and services.
- Work with Principal Engineers on architectural solutions for business challenges.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience as a software engineer, with 2+ years in people management.
- Expertise in leading high-performance teams using Scrum/Agile methodologies.
- Strong communication skills, capable of breaking down complex problems.
- Comprehensive knowledge of software design patterns and emerging technologies.
- A degree in computer science or equivalent practical experience.
- A collaborative and positive attitude with a strong sense of ownership.
Preferred Experience:
- Proficiency with Node.js, React, MySQL/Postgres, Kafka, or PHP.
- Experience building and improving cloud-based systems and infrastructure.
- A Master’s degree or further education in a technical field.
The compensation range for this position is $185,000.00 to $185,000.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
