Responsibilities:
- Work in a team-oriented, agile environment
- Evaluate the length of effort to implement requirements
- Provide alternative solutions to lower implementation or maintenance costs when appropriate
- Identify performance bottlenecks or resource contention issues and define solutions
- Correct defects in the existing product
- Implement new features or improvements to existing or upcoming products
- Create efficient, performant algorithms
- Mentor and coach others in algorithm development
- Collaborate with Quality Assurance and Testing to deliver well-tested applications
- Proactively raise issues early in the development process
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- 7 or more years of general programming experience
- At least 3 years of experience specific to iOS
- Expert in using Apple's XCode
- Expert in using Swift and SwiftUI
- Experience in using Objective-C, C++, or C is a plus
- Expert in using standard debugging techniques such as logging, LLDB, and Instruments
- Significant experience with Apple frameworks including Foundation, WebKit, Combine, and CoreLocation
- Understanding of Multi-threading (GCD, OperationQueue, etc), Codable, and StoreKit is a plus
- Understanding of common design patterns such as MVVM, VIPER, MVP
- Experience with REST APIs from an iOS app
- Experience with package management tools like CocoaPods, PackageManager, or Carthage
- Experience in unit testing with XCTest
- Strong understanding of iOS memory architectures, including MRR and ARC
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Commitment to quality
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in using AI tools such as Copilot, Claude, Cursor, etc.
- Experience with WatchOS, TVOS, and WidgetKit
- Knowledge of mobile development challenges such as battery, radio usage, CPU, GPU, and memory constraints
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $70.00 to $75.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
