TITLE: Art Director IV
LOCATION: New York or LA
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 06/02/2026 in MM/DD/YYYY to 12/02/2026 in MM/DD/YYYY

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with creative leads to produce innovative and inspiring infographics and data visualizations aligned with creative briefs.
  • Proactively contribute to upcoming editorial initiatives.
  • Lead the creation and production of design solutions within the creative direction set by Creative Leads and Creative Directors.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant design or creative experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to deliver strategic ideas across digital, social, and static formats through a portfolio.
  • Experience with data visualization, data journalism, or similar fields.
  • Strong proficiency in graphic design, typography, and illustration.
  • Experience with D3, Processing, or similar tools and libraries.
  • Ability to develop prototypes and work within a development environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Developing and executing editorial design with an understanding of content engaging across platforms.
  • Experience in publishing, magazines, or content platforms is a plus.
  • Familiarity with reporting, data gathering, and translating information into visuals.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple disciplines including journalists, editors, engineers, data scientists, and animators.
  • Knowledge of current trends in infographics, charting, and visual storytelling.
  • Ability to work independently and across time zones.
  • Experience in brand design, social media, or environmental graphics is a plus.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $120.00 to $125.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
