Job Title: Software Developer in Testing

Overview
Join our team in Cupertino, CA as a Software Developer III and help ensure critical API features are implemented correctly by third-party partners. In this hands-on contractor role, you’ll design and build automated test coverage, develop testing tools, and help drive fast resolution of technical issues in complex systems. We’re looking for a strong individual contributor who can think critically, communicate clearly, and deliver reliable automation outcomes.
Required Skills
- Strong proficiency in Java or Kotlin (hands-on coding required)
- Experience developing API tests using automated testing frameworks, with a focus on REST
- Strong ability to troubleshoot and resolve test failures
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a testability mindset and critical thinking
- Ability to apply both creativity and analytical thinking to:
- test case design
- building robust automation
- Experience defining and maintaining test coverage for new features
- Ability to prioritize, schedule, and communicate status effectively
- Ability to dive deep to resolve highly technical issues in complex systems
- Strong organizational skills for both independent and team work
- Clear and concise communication, with the ability to tailor messaging to the audience
- BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Nice to Have Skills
- Familiarity with CI/CD principles and designing testing strategies for cloud applications
- Experience with containerization and virtualization, such as Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with AI/ML solutions
Preferred Education and Experience
- BS or MS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of hands-on industry experience (required)
Other Requirements
- Onsite in Cupertino, CA
- 40 hours/week

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $55.00 to $59.50 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
