Software Engineer
TITLE: Software Engineer
LOCATION: San Jose, CA (hybrid)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 06/18/2026 to 12/14/2026
Responsibilities:
- Own all aspects of immediate area of software engineering work
- Self-direct technical contributions as well as plan and scope for a project
- Act as a point of contact for cross-functional partners
- Scope problems, research possible solutions and technologies, and recommend solutions for short-term and long-term needs
- Write product or system development code without supervision
- Conduct testing beyond unit testing (e.g., integration, performance, stress, security, load, fuzz)
- Design code to allow for easy testing and write test case descriptions
- Review other engineers' code and provide feedback to ensure best practices
- Identify critical components and tech debt with high carrying costs and implement or guide remedies to improve long-term maintainability
- Take ownership of rolling out a project to completion, including qualification, end-user documentation, production deployment/monitoring, process automation, and customer support as needed
- Set up or improve test/monitoring/survey infrastructure, systems, or practices
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing sources of issues and impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality
- Clarify problems, break down problems into solvable parts, assess trade-offs, and participate in or drive design reviews
- Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product/program updates and user feedback
- Set and achieve business goals by setting, communicating, and achieving team priorities
- Align with partners and make key decisions as needed to achieve team objectives
- Prioritize work and manage resources, including making prioritization decisions and equitably allocating work
- Drive through change to deliver results by making and communicating adjustments and removing obstacles
- Support and uphold inclusive team norms by facilitating collaboration and open communication
- Encourage wellbeing by checking in with each employee and providing appropriate resources
- Role model values by making decisions that align with values, policies, and practices
- For those with employee reports, balance direct technical contributions with management responsibility required in the role

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $113.40 to $131.91 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
