Title: Systems Engineer II
Location: Sunnyvale, CA 94085
Duration: 6 Months 

Job Responsibilities:

In this role, you'll provide both remote and on-site technical support, debug capture rigs, configure hardware, and validate data flows. You’ll be instrumental in launching new studies, testing and qualifying hardware, and designing custom capture systems — all while working in a collaborative environment that values innovation and independence.

Required Skills:

  • 2-3 years of experience working with hardware and software systems.
  • Strong Python programming and general software development expertise.
  • PCB design experience, including schematic capture and layout.
  • Proficiency in Bash scripting and Linux command-line tools.
  • Excellent debugging skills with a proactive problem-solving mindset.
  • Ability to work independently across both hardware and software domains.
  • Willingness to travel between sites as needed.

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Knowledge of camera systems, including image sensors, lenses, calibration, and synchronization.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Relevant technical degree (associate’s or bachelor’s) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field
  • Experience in a similar multi-site, data-centric environment

Other Requirements:

  • Onsite presence is mandatory; travel to multiple study sites is expected.
  • Ability to test new hardware and contribute to hardware design, including PCB prototypes.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $63 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
