TITLE: AI Solution Architect
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (Hybrid 2-3 days per week in downtown Atlanta)
W2 Contract Role

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to serve as the engineering lead for enterprise AI solutions and agentic AI platforms. This individual will provide technical leadership while remaining hands-on with architecture, software engineering, integrations, APIs, and AI solution implementation.

The ideal candidate will lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable AI-powered solutions including agentic AI, atomic agents, orchestration frameworks, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), workflow automation, and enterprise integrations. This role requires a strong balance of strategic architecture leadership and hands-on engineering, ensuring AI solutions are scalable, secure, reliable, and production-ready.

The AI Solutions Architect will partner closely with Product Owners, Solution Architects, AI Engineers, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions that deliver measurable business value.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

AI Architecture & Solution Design

• Lead the end-to-end architecture and design of enterprise AI solutions from concept through production deployment.

• Design scalable AI-powered solutions leveraging:

  • Agentic AI

  • Atomic Agents

  • Multi-Agent Architectures

  • Agent Orchestration Frameworks

  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

  • Workflow Automation

  • Enterprise Integrations

• Design reusable AI capabilities utilizing APIs, enterprise data platforms, knowledge sources, and vector databases.

• Define architecture standards that are scalable, secure, maintainable, and aligned with enterprise governance.

Hands-On Engineering Leadership

• Serve as the engineering lead for AI engineering teams.

• Remain actively involved in:

  • Solution architecture

  • Software development

  • Coding

  • API development

  • AI agent orchestration

  • System integrations

• Translate business requirements into detailed technical designs and implementable engineering deliverables.

• Conduct architecture reviews and provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.

Engineering Delivery & DevOps

• Establish engineering standards and best practices.

• Define and implement:

  • CI/CD pipelines

  • DevOps practices

  • Testing strategies

  • Security controls

  • Operational readiness processes

• Lead technical sizing, effort estimation, sprint planning, and development work allocation.

• Ensure engineering delivery aligns with business priorities, timelines, and resource capacity.

Operational Excellence

• Drive solution quality, scalability, reliability, performance optimization, and cost efficiency.

• Implement observability, monitoring, logging, and operational support frameworks.

• Serve as the primary technical escalation point for complex architecture, integration, production, and performance issues.

• Lead root cause analysis and implement long-term corrective solutions.

• Continuously improve AI platform performance, engineering processes, and operational maturity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Partner with Product Owners, Architects, Engineering teams, and business stakeholders.

• Translate business objectives into scalable technical solutions.

• Ensure AI platforms meet enterprise security, compliance, governance, and responsible AI standards.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• 10+ years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Lead Software Engineer, Principal Engineer, or similar technical leadership role.

• Proven experience architecting and delivering enterprise AI, machine learning, automation, or agentic AI solutions from design through production deployment.

• Strong expertise in:

  • Large Language Models (LLMs)

  • Agentic AI

  • Agent Frameworks

  • Multi-Agent Architectures

  • Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG)

  • Vector Databases

  • REST APIs

  • Cloud Platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)

  • Enterprise Integration Patterns

• Hands-on software engineering experience building production-grade applications.

• Experience leading engineering teams and conducting architecture reviews.

• Strong understanding of:

  • Secure software development

  • Responsible AI

  • Enterprise governance

  • Compliance

  • Observability

  • Scalability

  • Operational support models

• Ability to balance strategic architecture leadership with hands-on technical execution.

This individual is a technical leader who enjoys building solutions as much as designing them and can guide engineering teams while remaining deeply involved in implementation.

the hourly pay rate range for this position is $80.00 to $95.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
