TITLE: SharePoint Internal Comm Specialist
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (on-site 5 days a week)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 4 months
Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain the SharePoint 365 hub supporting the UX organization.
- Develop and execute internal communications across channels such as email, Slack, Microsoft Teams, and SharePoint.
- Translate complex UX, design, and technical concepts into accessible messaging.
- Organize, review, and improve SharePoint pages and sub-sites, ensuring content is current, well-organized, and standards-compliant.
- Audit existing SharePoint content for outdated or unnecessary information and update, archive, or remove as needed.
- Develop user-friendly guides and documentation for SharePoint content contributors.
- Partner with stakeholders to update existing content and support new content creation.
- Create and refine executive-ready presentations using PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Leverage AI tools such as Claude and Google Gemini to assist with drafting, summarizing, and refining communications.
Requirements:
- Experience in internal, corporate, or employee communications, content strategy, or knowledge management.
- Hands-on experience managing and maintaining SharePoint 365 sites, pages, hubs, and content.
- Strong understanding of SharePoint content organization, including page templates, metadata, tagging, and navigation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to simplify technical or design concepts.
- Experience developing communications for diverse audiences ranging from technical teams to senior leadership.
- Strong presentation skills with PowerPoint and Google Slides.
- Ability to audit large content volumes and recommend updates or consolidations.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for content standards and site consistency.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple stakeholders and content owners.
Preferred Experience:
- Supporting communications within UX, product, design, technology, or engineering organizations.
- Managing a SharePoint hub with multiple connected sites or sub-sites.
- Familiarity with Slack, Microsoft Teams, and email communication platforms.
- Developing content governance standards, contributor guides, templates, or training materials.
- Experience using generative AI tools for content development and synthesis.
- Strong visual communication skills and an eye for clean, professional presentation and page design.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $40.00 to $55.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
