LOCATION: Kirkland, WA

ANTICIPATED DURATION: 6+ Months (W2 Contract)

Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced Marketing Operations Program Manager to support a global marketing organization. This individual will oversee the operational processes, workflows, and cross-functional coordination that enable marketing programs to scale across regional teams. Working closely with Marketing Operations, Regional Marketing, Engineering, and external vendors, this person will help ensure marketing initiatives are executed efficiently, consistently, and with operational excellence.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in marketing operations, marketing automation, and program management who enjoys improving processes, driving cross-functional collaboration, and supporting large-scale marketing organizations. This is not a content creation or campaign execution role; instead, the focus is on managing the operational processes, technology, and teams that bring marketing programs to life.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee marketing operations initiatives that support scalable campaign execution across global and regional marketing teams.
  • Coordinate cross-functional efforts between Marketing Operations, Regional Marketing, Engineering, and external vendors to ensure successful delivery of marketing programs.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve operational workflows, SOPs, process documentation, and reporting practices that support consistent execution and scalable operations.
  • Partner with internal teams and external vendors to oversee operational performance, manage Statements of Work (SOWs), ensure compliance, and maintain regular reporting to support successful program delivery.
  • Monitor team capacity, resource utilization, and operational priorities to ensure work is appropriately balanced and delivered on schedule.
  • Identify process gaps through operational analysis and root cause investigation, implementing improvements that increase efficiency and consistency.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives related to operational processes, tooling, and organizational improvements across regional marketing teams.
  • Partner with leadership to support marketing technology strategy, platform adoption, and continuous improvement efforts across the marketing operations ecosystem.
  • Support marketing automation initiatives by ensuring operational processes, platform integrations, and campaign workflows function effectively across systems.
  • Evaluate opportunities to leverage AI and automation to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and team productivity.
  • Track operational KPIs and reporting to identify trends, monitor performance, and proactively address operational challenges.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships across multiple organizations, balancing priorities, setting expectations, and navigating escalations with a calm, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Ensure operational processes align with organizational, legal, financial, and privacy requirements.
  • Support operational planning and prioritization for regional campaigns, event operations, and other high-touch marketing initiatives.
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings to align stakeholders, resolve operational challenges, and drive successful project execution.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting or leading Marketing Operations within a large-scale or enterprise marketing organization.
  • Strong background in marketing operations, marketing automation, campaign operations, or operational program management.
  • Experience working with marketing automation platforms such as Marketo (preferred), Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar technologies.
  • Proven experience managing cross-functional projects, operational workflows, vendor relationships, and process improvements.
  • Experience driving change management and implementing scalable operational processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to build relationships and coordinate priorities across multiple organizations and regional teams.
  • Experience managing operational metrics, KPIs, reporting, and resource planning.
  • Experience with project and workflow management tools such as Asana or similar platforms.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within enterprise marketing organizations is preferred, while experience in high-growth or startup environments is a plus.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an operational leader who understands how large marketing organizations execute at scale. They bring experience managing marketing operations, improving workflows, coordinating cross-functional teams, and supporting marketing automation initiatives. They are comfortable balancing competing priorities, partnering with regional stakeholders, overseeing vendor performance, and driving continuous process improvements. Success in this role requires excellent stakeholder management, strong organizational skills, and the ability to remain calm and solutions-focused when navigating operational challenges and escalations.
