Responsibilities:
- Create and produce compelling visual assets for media products from conception through execution.
- Plan and manage simple and complex shoots independently or collaboratively.
- Shoot and produce visual assets on your own, sometimes on the spot or with little advance notice.
- Develop meaningful, timely, and iconic visual assets.
Requirements:
- 5 to 8 years of experience as a photographer, with expertise in developing culture-defining content within the music, events, or entertainment industries.
- Portfolio demonstrating studio lighting portraiture and reportage skills.
- Deep technical understanding of studio lighting (constant and strobes), mixed lighting, and digital capture equipment.
- Proficiency in retouching including skin, clothing, and silo images, and use of Capture One.
- Experience working with notable talent and in high-pressure situations.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to lead multiple projects from concept to production.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop), Capture One, and Keynote.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
- Assisting established photographers is a plus.
- Experience drawing inspiration from editorial, fine art, and commercial photography.
- Ability to anticipate change and react efficiently, comfortable with ambiguity.
- Discretion in handling confidential materials.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $60.00 to $76.12/hr. Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
