TITLE: Sr DLP Security Operations
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA 30328 – hybrid – 2-3 days a week
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 4 months + extension/perm conversion potential
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) within the organization, including policy development and maintenance
- Monitor, investigate, and respond to potential data loss events from internal and external sources
- Administer, tune, and maintain DLP technologies across on-premise, cloud, SaaS, and endpoint environments
- Develop, update, and enforce DLP policies and operational playbooks to address evolving risks and compliance requirements
- Collaborate with IT and security teams to automate DLP alerts and responses
- Document DLP incidents, investigations, and remediation steps to support audits and process improvement
- Obtain and stay up-to-date on the latest threats and security trends
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Hands-on experience in Information Security operations including Security Monitoring, Incident Response, and Network Security fundamentals
- Practical experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) tools and concepts, with exposure to platforms such as Symantec, Microsoft Purview, Zscaler, Forcepoint, or Digital Guardian
- Working knowledge of security technologies including Firewalls, VPN, IDS, EDR, Antivirus, and Secure Web Gateway/Proxy
- Strong experience with SIEM event/log analysis and correlation
Preferred Experience:
- Understanding of DLP concepts, frameworks, and technologies
- Familiarity with data classification standards (e.g., PII, PCI, PHI, IP)
- Knowledge of DLP platforms such as Symantec DLP, Microsoft Purview DLP, Zscaler DLP, Forcepoint, McAfee, Digital Guardian
- Basic understanding of network security, email security, and endpoint protection
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, CCPA, SOX, PCI-DSS
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $84.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
