Responsibilities:
- Responds to inquiries regarding merchant credit card processing and other assigned areas.
- Troubleshoots, diagnoses, and provides solutions to resolve issues with service, authorization, and credit card processing terminals.
- Communicates policies, procedures, and practices to merchants.
- Requests policy and procedure exceptions on behalf of merchants as appropriate.
- Provides high-quality customer service by responding to telephone inquiries, requests, and problems.
- Researches and resolves problems and errors.
- Identifies products and services that meet customers’ needs.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typically at least six months of customer service experience.
- Effective telephone, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills.
- Good problem-solving and negotiation skills, with the ability to handle difficult customer calls.
- Ability to identify and resolve/escalate complex problems.
- Proficient in computer navigation using a variety of software packages, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Proven commitment to high-quality customer service.
- Good time management skills to assist multiple clients while maintaining service quality.
Preferred Experience:
- Effectiveness in handling challenging customer calls.
- Ability to escalate issues appropriately.
- Experience with troubleshooting and diagnostics in technical environments.
- Bilingual abilities are a plus but not required.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $0.00 to $20.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
