Quality Engineer
Title: Supplier/Production Quality Engineer
Location: Cupertino, CA
Duration: 6 Months
Join us as a critical driver of quality excellence in a dynamic manufacturing environment! As our Quality Engineer, you will lead initiatives to ensure products meet the highest standards for performance, reliability, and appearance across Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Final Assembly, Testing, and Packaging. Collaborate with global cross-functional teams and suppliers to improve manufacturing processes, enhance yields, and maintain flawless quality standards. This pivotal role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on product quality and customer satisfaction.
Required Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline
- Proven expertise in quality management within manufacturing settings
- Strong knowledge of quality methodologies including PQP, FMEA, quality audits, CAPA, IQC, OQC, and sampling techniques
- Proficiency in statistical quality tools such as SPC, AQL, and MSA
- Working knowledge of advanced quality tools like DOE, correlation analysis, and reliability analysis
- Basic understanding of metrology and GD&T
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to evaluate cosmetic standards
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a track record of root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Excellent communication skills, capable of influencing cross-functional teams
- Experience in high-volume manufacturing environments, especially in electronics, automotive, or medical device industries
- Supplier quality management and development experience
Nice to Have Skills:
- Experience working with Asia-based engineering teams
- Knowledge of field return data analysis
- Familiarity with quality standards specific to consumer electronics or automotive industries
Preferred Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field
- Previous experience in manufacturing quality roles, preferably with exposure to SMT, assembly, testing, and packaging processes
Other Requirements:
- Willingness to collaborate across global teams
- Certifications in quality management (e.g., CQE, Six Sigma) are a plus
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle critical quality issues with urgency

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $70.00 to $80.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location). Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
