TITLE: Sr. Network Engineer
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA

Network Engineer (Contract)
Position Summary
The Network Engineer contractor will support the optical/MPLS network program through network design documentation, site engineering packages, wireless overlay/underlay design, node documentation, and network infrastructure modeling. The role is focused on creating and maintaining engineering deliverables required for deployment, installation, implementation, and operational readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Wireless Overlay/Underlay Engineering
- Engineer wireless overlay and underlay designs for approximately 200 sites.
- Create overlay and underlay network diagrams for each applicable site.
- Produce site design documentation to support deployment activities.
MPLS Node Engineering
- Develop engineering documentation packages for 84 MPLS nodes.
- Create Visio diagrams, cable run lists, rack elevations, and Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for each site.
Optical Node Engineering
- Develop engineering documentation packages for 50 optical nodes.
- Create Visio diagrams, cable run lists, rack elevations, and Methods of Procedure (MoPs) for each site.
Network Infrastructure Modeling & Documentation
- Model, document, and manage network infrastructure for approximately 20 OPC plant sites using NetBox as the source-of-truth platform.
- Populate and maintain site information, including location, address, room, floor, and map details.
- Develop rack elevations and cable run lists to support installation, implementation, and operational readiness.

Engagement Focus
This role provides engineering execution support for the optical/MPLS network program by producing the design, documentation, and infrastructure deliverables required to commission, document, and transition network sites and services into operations.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $40.00 to $50.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
