TITLE: Automation Engineer
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (hybrid, on-site 2-3 days a week)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 3 years
Responsibilities:
- Develop automation, scripting, and integration solutions to enhance the efficiency and scalability of ISAC functions.
- Provide technical guidance, review, and direction for automation efforts across teams and vendors.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and deliver reusable, maintainable solutions.
- Design, develop, and maintain automation workflows using PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible, REST APIs, and related technologies.
- Integrate tools, data sources, and workflows with infrastructure, security, ticketing, and reporting platforms through APIs.
- Support automation of patch deployment, remediation validation, compliance reporting, and hardening activities.
- Align automation efforts with enterprise standards and contribute to shared libraries and modules.
- Monitor emerging automation tools and AI-enabled solutions to improve operational efficiency.
- Maintain automation documentation, source control, and version history.
- Test, troubleshoot, and continuously improve automation solutions for accuracy and reliability.
- Support initiatives to expand automation adoption and reduce operational risk.
Requirements:
- Experience with scripting, automation, and integration technologies such as PowerShell, Python, Bash, YAML, REST APIs, Ansible, and Ansible Automation Platform.
- Knowledge of source control systems like Git, GitHub, or Azure DevOps.
- Familiarity with enterprise patch and vulnerability management tools such as Ivanti Security Controls, SCCM, WSUS, and Red Hat Satellite.
- Understanding of Windows Server, Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Cisco platforms.
- Knowledge of vulnerability management, patch workflows, infrastructure hardening, and security compliance concepts.
- Ability to integrate data and workflows across multiple platforms via APIs.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, communication, and documentation skills.
