Senior UX Designer
Senior UX Designer – Inventory, Planning & Replenishment
We’re looking for a Senior UX Designer to support a portfolio of enterprise applications focused on inventory, planning and replenishment (IPR). This role is ideal for a versatile, hands-on designer who enjoys jumping into complex problems, quickly understanding unfamiliar workflows, and moving from discovery through design and validation.
You’ll work across multiple established products while also partnering closely with UX Research and Strategy to better understand operational workflows within a distribution center environment.
What You’ll Do
Rapid Product Design & Validation
-
Support a portfolio of established applications within the inventory, planning and replenishment space.
-
Quickly ramp up on new products, workflows, features and business problems.
-
Translate complex requirements and operational processes into intuitive user experiences.
-
Develop user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity designs in Figma.
-
Rapidly prototype and validate potential solutions with users and stakeholders.
-
Work effectively within existing products, patterns and design systems while identifying opportunities for improvement.
-
Balance multiple workstreams and shift between products as priorities change.
-
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research and business stakeholders throughout the design process.
UX Research & Operational Discovery
-
Partner with a Lead UX Researcher/Strategist on tactical research initiatives.
-
Conduct user interviews, usability testing, contextual inquiry and observational research.
-
Spend time with operational users to understand current workflows, pain points and opportunities.
-
Help document processes and evaluate how work is performed within distribution center environments.
-
Potentially conduct time studies/time-and-motion studies to understand workflow efficiency and identify areas for future product investment.
-
Synthesize findings into clear insights and actionable recommendations for Product and Design teams.
What We’re Looking For
-
5+ years of professional UX, Product Design or Interaction Design experience, ideally within complex enterprise environments.
-
Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end UX design across complex workflows or applications.
-
Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar products and problem spaces and turn ambiguity into actionable design solutions.
-
Experience designing enterprise software, internal tools, operational applications or other complex workflow-based products.
-
Hands-on experience conducting user research and validating designs directly with users.
-
Strong interaction design, information architecture, prototyping and usability skills.
-
Advanced proficiency with Figma.
-
Comfortable working across multiple products and priorities simultaneously.
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills with Product, Engineering, Research and business stakeholders.
-
Comfortable working with established products and design systems rather than always designing experiences from the ground up.
Nice to Have
-
Experience within inventory, replenishment, supply chain, logistics, fulfillment, warehouse/distribution center or retail operations.
-
Experience conducting contextual or observational research in physical operational environments.
-
Experience with time studies, workflow analysis, process mapping or service design.
-
Experience designing data-heavy applications, dashboards or decision-support tools.
-
Familiarity with associate-facing or other internal enterprise applications.
The Ideal Person
You’re someone who can walk into an unfamiliar product, ask the right questions, understand the workflow quickly, and start making progress without needing months of ramp-up time.
You’re equally comfortable designing a new workflow in Figma, putting a prototype in front of users, or observing employees in their actual work environment to understand where a process is breaking down.
You enjoy complex problems, don’t get overwhelmed by enterprise systems, and can move fluidly between design and research depending on what the team needs.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $50.00 to $70.00/hr. Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
