Senior UX Designer

Location: Remote
Contract: W2 contract through January 2027
Pay Rate: $55–$60/hour
Experience: 5+ years of relevant UX/Product Design experience

About the Opportunity

We’re looking for an experienced Senior UX Designer to join a product team working on complex digital experiences across in-store technology, payments, transactional workflows, and related product areas.

This is a hands-on role for a well-rounded designer who can take an established product problem, understand the user and business needs, explore solutions, and carry the design through detailed execution.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working across the full product design process and collaborating closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and other stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

• Design end-to-end experiences for complex digital products and workflows.

• Translate user, business, and technical requirements into intuitive product experiences.

• Create user flows, journey maps, wireframes, prototypes, and polished UI.

• Explore multiple solutions and iterate based on feedback, research, and data.

• Partner closely with Product Managers, Engineers, Researchers, and business stakeholders.

• Participate in discovery and help define user problems and requirements.

• Navigate complex workflows, business rules, and technical constraints.

• Work within established design systems and reusable patterns.

• Present design work and clearly communicate the thinking behind your decisions.

• Partner with Engineering throughout implementation to help maintain design quality.

• Use or explore AI and emerging tools to improve areas of the design workflow such as research, ideation, and prototyping.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years of relevant UX/Product Design experience.

• Strong end-to-end product design experience.

• Hands-on experience with Figma and prototyping.

• Strong interaction design, information architecture, and visual design fundamentals.

• Experience solving complex workflows rather than primarily designing marketing or content experiences.

• Ability to take ownership of assigned product initiatives and move them forward with appropriate guidance from senior design and product leadership.

• Experience collaborating closely with Product and Engineering.

• Ability to clearly explain design decisions and incorporate feedback.

• Experience working within established design systems.

• Strong portfolio demonstrating your design process, problem solving, and final execution.

Relevant Backgrounds

Experience in one or more of the following areas would be especially helpful:

• Payments or payment processing

• Financial or transactional products

• Checkout or self-checkout

• Retail or in-store technology

• Associate-facing or operational applications

• Enterprise platforms and complex workflows

• E-commerce

• Cross-channel customer experiences

Direct payments experience is helpful, but not required. The priority is finding a strong, hands-on Senior UX Designer who can work through complex product problems and deliver thoughtful, polished experiences.

Additional Details

This is a remote W2 contract opportunity paying $65–$70/hour and currently expected to run through the end of January 2027.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $55.00 to $60.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
