Overview
Join our team as an Accounting Specialist and play a critical role in keeping our financial data accurate and our processes on track. In this position, you’ll review and resolve exception items in the system of record, balance and reconcile assigned accounts, and conduct deeper research to clear discrepancies—using strong organization, independent judgment, and clear communication to drive issues to resolution.
Required Skills
- High level understanding of Excel
- Ability to use OneNote
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently
- Effective communication skills to interact with team members and internal stakeholders
- Comfort with repetition and following through to resolution
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in decision-making
- Experience investigating discrepancies and applying appropriate corrections to maintain data integrity
- Ability to review and process exception items within established performance guidelines
Nice to Have Skills
- Experience resolving exceptions or discrepancies through complex research
- Experience working with rotationally assigned tasks
- Prior experience in accounting workflows that require balancing and reconciliation

Other Requirements
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days per week in office (Tues–Thurs)
- Working hours: 40 hours/day shift, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
- No overtime required
- Interview process: 1 interview with hiring manager and team lead; may be in person or Teams (camera required for Teams)
- Interaction: Contractor will work with a 10-member team and may engage with internal business line partners for training and support
- Anticipated duration: From 06/08/2026 to 12/01/2026
- Potential assignment extension/FTE conversion (not guaranteed)
- Hourly pay range listed as $0.00 to $20.88 (dependent on client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location)

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $15.00 to $20.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
