TITLE: Power BI Reporting Support Analyst
LOCATION: Atlanta, GA (3/2 hybrid downtown)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: 12+ Month Contract
Responsibilities:
-Monitor reporting operations and identify failures, delays, incomplete outputs, or service disruptions.
-Validate scheduled report execution, output availability, publication, and restoration following an incident.
-Escalate technical defects with a clear problem statement, business impact, evidence, and steps already completed.
-Confirm resolution through business validation, production verification, and documented closure criteria.
-Use Databricks and SQL to investigate data anomalies and reporting discrepancies.
-Trace data from source and ingestion through curated data products and reporting consumption layers.
-Validate transformations, business rules, filters, joins, aggregations, and source-to-target results.
-Review notebook, job, or pipeline results to determine causes of issues.
-Partner with Data Engineering, CDP, and Reporting Development to support root-cause analysis, testing, and deployment validation.
-Perform SQL-based analysis, reconciliation, and validation of report data.
-Triage reporting support requests, assess impact, and coordinate response activities.
-Provide status updates to stakeholders, explaining impact and current findings.
-Support Power BI reports, dashboards, refreshes, and access troubleshooting.
-Maintain complete and accurate ticket records through resolution and closure.
-Follow established SOX 404 control procedures, documentation standards, and escalation protocols.
-Create and maintain runbooks, knowledge articles, and troubleshooting guides.
-Promote cross-training, backup coverage, and process improvements.
Requirements:
-Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.-Experience supporting business intelligence, reporting, data, analytics, or production operations in an enterprise environment.
-Hands-on experience with SQL for investigation, validation, and reconciliation.
-Working experience with Databricks or a comparable cloud data platform.
-Experience with Power BI or similar enterprise BI platform.
-Ability to communicate technical findings clearly to business and leadership audiences.
-Supporting Power BI reports, dashboards, paginated reports, and resolution of production issues.
-Validating report calculations, filters, parameters, data relationships, and identifying defects.
-Experience with Microsoft Fabric, data warehouses, semantic models, or related platforms.
-Knowledge of Databricks SQL, Delta Lake, data lineage, or lakehouse concepts.
Using enterprise scheduling tools like Autosys.
-Experience with ticketing tools such as Remedy Helix, ServiceNow, Jira.
-Supporting regulatory or SOX-controlled reporting.
-Strong understanding of utility, customer operations, billing, or payments processes.
-Ownership and accountability in issue resolution.
-Analytical problem-solving skills.
-Customer-focused communication and collaboration skills.
-Adaptability to evolving data platforms and processes.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location.
