UX Architect / Senior UX Designer – B2B Payments
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid – 3 Days Onsite / 2 Days Remote)

About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced UX Architect / Senior UX Designer to join a large enterprise financial services organization supporting a sophisticated B2B commercial payments platform.
This individual will help design and enhance digital experiences used by mid-market and large enterprise businesses to manage corporate spending, virtual payments, account administration, and financial operations.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on UX professional who thrives in complex enterprise environments, enjoys solving intricate workflow and information architecture challenges, and can effectively collaborate with product, engineering, research, and other design disciplines.
This role places a greater emphasis on information architecture, user flows, and complex interaction design than purely visual/UI design.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design and optimize complex B2B digital experiences supporting virtual payments and commercial financial workflows.
-
Develop intuitive information architectures, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes that simplify complex business processes.
-
Partner closely with product managers, engineers, business stakeholders, and agile delivery teams to translate requirements into effective user experiences.
-
Serve as the primary UX design representative within assigned agile teams, helping guide experience-related decisions.
-
Collaborate with dedicated UX researchers, content strategists, and accessibility specialists to ensure solutions meet user and business needs.
-
Leverage established design systems and reusable patterns to create consistent, scalable experiences.
-
Incorporate user feedback, research insights, and competitive analysis into iterative design improvements.
-
Utilize AI-assisted tools to accelerate ideation, prototyping, and design iteration.
-
Communicate design decisions, rationale, and recommendations clearly to cross-functional stakeholders.
-
Balance user needs, business objectives, technical feasibility, and delivery timelines.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of professional UX Design, Product Design, Experience Design, or Information Architecture experience.
-
Strong hands-on experience designing complex digital products, workflows, and enterprise applications.
-
Demonstrated expertise in information architecture, user flows, interaction design, wireframing, and prototyping.
-
Proficiency with Figma or comparable design tools, with the ability to work effectively in Figma.
-
Experience working within established design systems and applying reusable design patterns.
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills, including experience partnering with product management, engineering, and other UX disciplines.
-
Experience working within agile product development environments.
-
Working knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive design principles.
-
Ability to independently own UX deliverables and represent the user experience within a cross-functional product team.
-
Portfolio demonstrating relevant design work, individual contributions, problem-solving approaches, and design outcomes.
-
Bachelor’s degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field strongly preferred; equivalent qualifications may be considered based on extensive relevant experience.
-
Ability to work onsite in downtown Minneapolis three days per week.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience designing B2B financial products, commercial banking applications, payment platforms, or virtual payment workflows.
-
Background designing complex enterprise SaaS applications or internal business tools.
-
Experience in highly regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, or education.
-
Hands-on experience with Replit, Figma Make, or comparable AI-assisted prototyping tools.
-
Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot or similar AI tools for research, competitive analysis, and design exploration.
-
Experience rapidly iterating on concepts using stakeholder feedback, customer insights, and emerging technologies.
-
Experience simplifying complex administrative workflows, account management tools, reporting interfaces, or financial operations processes.
-
Ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments and communicate effectively across multiple disciplines.
