6-month Contract (possibility to convert)
Onsite – Denver Region

Synergis’ client, a global services organization focused on connecting people, technology, and experiences, has engaged us in a search for multiple ESS (Electronic Security System) Installation Technicians who will be responsible for installation of Access Control Systems and IP Camera’s within a new construction environment for Data Centers.

ESS Installation Technician | Background and Scope

  • Install LenelS2/program/troubleshoot Access Control systems and CCTV Cameras in a 90% completed constructed Data Center Environment
  • Know and learn what is on the BOM (Bill of Material) for every job and know the material required for your job.
  • Maintain timeline of job schedule with regards to when devices / head end work needs to be installed and terminated.  If you are not able to maintain a given timeline, it is expected for you to communicate that with the site supervisor and project team ASAP.
  • Take ownership of job schedules for workload given to you.
  • Maintain constant communication with Site Supervisor daily. 
  • Keep written records of the following on One Note:
    • Work accomplished with technicians/trades (sub-contractors, GC, EC)
    • Project issues
    • Discuss problems that may arise
    • Site Readiness Document
    • Site Inventory (Kept up to date at minimum monthly)
    • Redlines / RFIs (If required)
    • Communicate the need for assistance and guidance for any work that is required for the job.  This may include labor problems as well as technical issues.
  • Ability to learn how to program this equipment (cameras/power supplies, lenel equipment)
  • Point out any / all problems found on drawings / matrix to Site Supervisor and project team ASAP.
  • Prioritize your time to be able to manage multiple tasks at any given time.
  • Maintain constant communication with site supervisor and project team with regards to job related scope.
  • Maintain the schedule given for the job and follow DIV28 specifications for quality control.
  • Help Site Supervisor with inventory if and when needed (maintain an online copy on one note)
  • Communicate with Site Supervisor and project team ASAP if equipment is missing / defective.
  • Ability to help with service-related items as it relates to electronic security tickets when they come in from the customer.

ESS Installation Technician | Requirements

  • Active Electronic Security experience is a must.  4+ years’ experience installing/troubleshooting ESS equipment.
  • LenelS2 Access Control installation experience REQUIRED
  • Must be able to review and understand the following:
    • Matrix
    • Drawing
    • BOM List
    • SRD
  • Ability to:
    • Understand access control/CCTV systems.
    • Install anything ACS, CCTV, intercom related.
    • Troubleshoot and fix any problems that may arise during the installation process.
  • Knowledge of the following:
    • Microsoft Teams
    • Outlook
    • OneNote
    • BlueBeam / Adobe Reader
    • Project drawing
    • Programming Matrix
    • SRDs
    • UILs
    • Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs), Task Hazard Analysis (THAs), Risk Hazard Analysis (RHAs).
    • RFIs
    • Redlines

ESS Installation Technician | Preferred:

  • Experience working in current-constructions Data Centers, specifically Microsoft, would be a great plus, but not required

ESS Installation Technician | Other:

  • Onsite in a construction environment
  • Ability to travel, both by car and plane
  • Full time position with some work being after-hours / weekends
  • Must be able to provide all relevant PPE, tools for installation (Multimeter, network testing, etc.) initially
  • Must provide your own laptop initially
  • Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship now, or any time in the future
