eCommerce Frontend Developer

Synergis’ client, a wholesale distributor for the home décor, event planning & floral industries, has engaged us in a search for an eCommerce Frontend Developer to join their growing team.   The eCommerce Frontend Developer will be a key driver to the success of our client’s eCommerce roadmap, complete with building a leading-edge customer experience.

eCommerce Frontend Developer | Background and Scope 

  • Lead the development and customization of Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce) themes and modules to meet business requirements.
  • Collaborate with the UX/UI design team to translate visual concepts into functional online experiences.
  • Optimize website performance, ensuring fast loading times and a seamless user experience across all devices.
  • Build and edit content pages using the Magento page builder.
  • Implement responsive design principles to ensure our e-commerce sites are mobile-friendly.
  • Work closely with the backend development team to integrate Magento 2 with various external systems and services.
  • Ensure compliance with web standards, SEO best practices, and accessibility guidelines.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry trends, technologies, and Magento updates, applying this knowledge to improve our e-commerce platforms.

eCommerce Frontend Developer | Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in frontend web development
  • 3+ years in development focused on Magento 2 (Adobe Commerce).
  • Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and pre-processing platforms such as SASS or LESS.
  • Expertise in Magento theme development and customization.
  • Familiarity with Magento layout XML and component-based architecture.
  • Experience with JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and performant code.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

eCommerce Frontend Developer | Preferred

  • Magento 2 Certified Professional Frontend Developer certification is highly desirable.
  • Capable of building light backend code

eCommerce Frontend Developer | Other:

  • Candidates must be authorized to work for any employer in the US now, and anytime in the future.
  • Casual but professional work environment
  • Hybrid work schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote)
  • Only local metro Atlanta area candidates are being considered currently

Disclosure:   The salary range for this position is $80,000 to $100,000. (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
