About the Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Systems Designer to help evolve and scale an established enterprise design system supporting multiple digital products and platforms.
This is a hands-on opportunity for a designer who thrives in Figma, has strong visual design craftsmanship, and enjoys creating reusable, scalable components that improve consistency across complex product experiences.
You'll join a collaborative, globally distributed design team working to expand an existing design system, enhance component libraries, and establish patterns that support both customer-facing and internal enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate combines strong UI execution with deep design systems expertise and is comfortable collaborating closely with product designers, engineers, and cross-functional stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
-
Design, build, and maintain reusable UI components, patterns, and libraries within Figma.
-
Enhance an established enterprise design system through component improvements, new patterns, and scalable solutions.
-
Develop and refine data visualization components, dashboard patterns, and complex interface elements.
-
Maintain consistency across design tokens, component variants, properties, and responsive layouts.
-
Partner closely with frontend engineers to ensure alignment between Figma components and production code.
-
Collaborate with a globally distributed design systems team to support ongoing enhancements and incoming product design requests.
-
Evaluate existing components, identify opportunities for improvement, and introduce new solutions as product needs evolve.
-
Establish and maintain clear component documentation, usage guidelines, and design standards.
-
Participate in design critiques, incorporate feedback, and ensure solutions meet usability and accessibility standards.
-
Support the adoption and scalability of the design system across multiple enterprise applications and digital experiences.
Required Qualifications
-
5+ years of professional experience in UX/UI, Product Design, or Design Systems, with significant hands-on design systems experience.
-
Advanced Figma expertise, including component libraries, Auto Layout, variants, properties, and design tokens.
-
Strong visual design skills with exceptional attention to detail, consistency, and UI craftsmanship.
-
Demonstrated experience building, maintaining, or scaling reusable components within an established design system.
-
Experience designing complex enterprise applications, SaaS platforms, or data-rich interfaces.
-
Understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and reusable interaction patterns.
-
Experience collaborating closely with frontend engineers and understanding how design components translate into production.
-
Strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working across distributed teams.
-
Ability to balance component-level execution with broader system consistency and scalability.
Preferred Qualifications
-
Experience designing data visualization components, dashboards, tables, charts, or analytics interfaces.
-
Familiarity with design-to-code workflows and component architecture.
-
Understanding of frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, or React.
-
Experience working with mature enterprise design systems supporting multiple products.
-
Experience collaborating with offshore or globally distributed engineering and design teams.
-
Familiarity with AI-assisted design or development workflows.
What We're Looking for in a Portfolio
We're particularly interested in seeing:
-
Design system craftsmanship: Reusable Figma components, component libraries, tokens, variants, and scalable patterns.
-
Visual UI quality: Polished, consistent interfaces demonstrating strong attention to typography, spacing, hierarchy, and interaction details.
-
System evolution: Examples of improving or expanding an existing design system rather than only creating one from scratch.
-
Complex product experiences: Enterprise applications, dashboards, data visualization, or reusable patterns supporting multiple workflows.
-
Design-to-development collaboration: Evidence of partnering with engineers to ensure component consistency between design and production.
Why This Opportunity?
This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on a growing enterprise design ecosystem. You'll work within an established design system while helping shape its next phase, introducing new components, improving scalability, and supporting a wide range of digital products.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being hands-on, takes pride in the details, and understands how great design systems make entire product teams more effective.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $60.00 to $70.00/hr.
