Senior Product Designer – Mobile Apps & Emerging Products
Location: Atlanta, GA (preferred); New York City considered
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Duration: Through end of year, with potential to extend
About the Role
We're partnering with a leading consumer-focused company seeking a Senior Product Designer to help bring an exciting new mobile app to market while contributing to experimental digital products and emerging initiatives.
You'll step into a high-impact individual contributor role, taking ownership of a mobile app as it moves through launch and into its next phase of development. The core functionality is in place, and the team is looking for someone who can elevate the overall design experience, refine the details, and help deliver a polished, launch-ready product.
Beyond the core app, you'll partner closely with a senior Product Manager on experimental initiatives, rapidly exploring new concepts, building prototypes, and helping translate promising ideas into features for established consumer products.
This is an opportunity for a designer who enjoys owning complex product experiences, balancing multiple initiatives, and bringing strong design judgment to both established products and early-stage experimentation.
What You'll Do
-
Own the end-to-end design of a consumer-facing mobile app, helping bring the initial product to launch and guiding its continued evolution.
-
Refine and elevate the existing app experience, ensuring the final product meets a high bar for visual quality, usability, and consistency.
-
Lead design efforts across complex mobile experiences, making thoughtful decisions that consider the product as a whole rather than individual screens.
-
Partner directly with a senior Product Manager to explore and design experimental products and features.
-
Rapidly develop concepts, design explorations, and prototypes to test new product opportunities.
-
Help bring successful experimental concepts into established consumer-facing digital products.
-
Balance multiple workstreams, independently driving design initiatives while collaborating closely with product and engineering partners.
-
Present design decisions, incorporate feedback, and iterate effectively to move projects forward.
-
Contribute to web-based experiences as needed.
What We're Looking For
-
Senior-level experience as a Product Designer, UX/UI Designer, or similar hands-on individual contributor.
-
Demonstrated experience owning the design of an entire mobile app or leading the design of a large, complex feature within a mobile application.
-
Strong end-to-end product design capabilities, with the judgment to make decisions across an interconnected product experience.
-
Exceptional visual design and interaction design skills, supported by a portfolio of polished, consumer-facing mobile work.
-
Experience taking products or major features through development and toward launch.
-
Ability to work independently, take ownership of initiatives, and move projects forward without extensive direction.
-
Strong collaboration and communication skills, including the ability to receive feedback, incorporate input, and work effectively within a cross-functional team.
-
Comfort balancing multiple initiatives, from production-focused design to rapid experimentation.
-
Experience designing for web in addition to mobile.
Nice-to-Haves
-
Experience designing consumer-facing products involving complex data or data visualization.
-
Background in outdoor recreation, sports, fitness, lifestyle, or other activity-focused consumer products.
-
Experience working on experimental products, innovation teams, or early-stage product concepts.
-
Familiarity with bringing prototypes or experimental features into established consumer products.
Why Join?
You'll have the opportunity to take meaningful ownership of a new mobile product at a pivotal stage, helping shape its initial launch and continued evolution.
You'll also work directly with a senior Product Manager on emerging product ideas, giving you exposure to both hands-on product execution and forward-looking experimentation.
This is a chance to make a visible impact across multiple consumer experiences while helping define what's next for a major consumer-facing digital brand.
