TITLE: Software Engineer III
LOCATION: San Jose, CA (hybrid)
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 11/02/2026 to 05/01/2027
Responsibilities:
- Write product or system development code without supervision, conduct testing beyond unit testing (e.g., integration, performance, stress, security, load, fuzz).
- Review other engineers' code and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
- Identify critical components and technical debt with high carrying costs.
- Implement or guide remedies to improve long-term maintainability and modifiability.
- Take ownership of rolling out a project to completion, including qualification, documentation, deployment, monitoring, process automation, and customer support as needed.
- Set up or improve test, monitoring, survey infrastructure, systems, or practices.
- Triage product or system issues and debug/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Design systems within the scope of their area, participate in or drive design reviews, and guide system design decisions.
- Set and achieve business goals by establishing, communicating, and executing team priorities.
- Prioritize work and manage resources to meet organizational goals.
- Drive through change, demonstrate good judgment, and support innovation and risk-taking.
- Support and uphold inclusive team norms, facilitate collaboration, and encourage wellbeing.
- Make decisions and support activities that align with company values, policies, and practices.
Requirements:
- Have 6+ years of SWE/SRE experience.
- High-Performance C++ Distributed Backend experience needed.
- End-to-end production rollout, integration/load testing, observability, and process automation experience.
- Proficiency in test engineering, data structures and algorithms, architecture knowledge, programming, software system design, code health, debugging, diagnosis, and resolution.
The hourly pay rate range for this position is $113.40 to $131.91 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
