Location: Hybrid, 3+ days on-site | Open to candidates in Minneapolis, New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, Dallas, or Cincinnati
Hours: 9am – 5pm CST
About the Role
We're looking for a UX Architect to join a team working on a complex, authenticated onboarding experience that spans multiple deposit products — checking, savings, money market, CDs, and bundled offerings. This is not a single happy-path flow. You'll be working across multiple user variants, contributing to both current-state delivery and future-state ideation simultaneously.
You'll partner closely with a design lead (Minneapolis-based), a shared content designer, a product owner, and development leads in an agile quad structure. If you're someone who likes to understand the why behind your design decisions and can thrive in a space that has real depth and moving parts, this team wants to meet you.
What You'll Do
- Own and execute a variety of UX deliverables — wireframes, user flows, interaction specs, and Figma files — in support of the design lead
- Participate in discovery, ideation, and research alongside the team to help shape future-state experiences
- Iterate on designs based on feedback from cross-functional partners
- Collaborate with product owners, developers, and other design teams to ensure a cohesive experience across onboarding touchpoints
- Follow and contribute to design system guidelines
- Support Figma organization and design hygiene as needed
What We're Looking For
- 5+ years of UX/design experience (open to 3+ years for exceptional candidates)
- Strong command of Figma
- Experience working on complex, multi-layered digital products — not just simple flows
- Solid understanding of UX and interaction design principles
- Ability to clearly articulate the reasoning behind design decisions — portfolio should show process, not just polished outcomes
- Comfortable balancing delivery with ongoing discovery and ideation
- Collaborative, communicative, and able to work independently once ramped
Nice to Have
- Experience in banking, fintech, or financial services (not required — domain knowledge can be learned)
- Content design sensibility or experience writing UX copy
- Interest in animation or prototyping
- Knowledge of accessibility best practices
Interview Process
Two rounds, moving quickly. Round one with the hiring manager; round two with the broader team including a product stakeholder.
The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $60.00 to $68.97/hr. Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
