IT Support Technician

9 months – perm potential and opportunity for extension

$20-24/hr W2

Athens, GA

Seeking a candidate with 1-3 years of experience in imaging and providing break-fix support for computers and mobile devices. Implementing IT projects in a service territory and lifecycle management. Will be supporting and troubleshooting Windows PCs, Office 365/OneDrive application support, imaging computers and configuring peripherals. Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing (will be driving company vehicle)

JOB REQUIREMENTS: 
•    Two-year degree (college/technical/vocational) or equivalent hands-on experience in computer systems or information technology is preferred.
•    Understanding of local area networks in a VoIP environment is required. 
•    Knowledge of and ability to troubleshoot and repair PC hardware, operating systems, and associated peripherals and software components.
•    Must have proficiency with Windows 11 and MS Office. 
•    Ability to work independently, self-starter with good time management skills.
•    Must have good verbal and written communications skills.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:  
•    Interfacing with customers to schedule work and ensure that customer
expectations are met upon completion of work 
•    Interfacing with other IT groups related to problems and installations as appropriate
•    Managing and effectively prioritizing many work requests
•    Maintaining current images on USB media
•    Keeping abreast of current imaging installation procedures 
•    Understanding and adhering to billing and performance processes and procedures
•    Maintaining accurate equipment inventories
•    Installing standard, endorsed, or certified software and/or hardware devices, and providing minimal onsite training to get the client started
•    Operating a company vehicle in a safe manner.  Responsible for performing monthly vehicle safety inspections. 
•    Ability to climb into and maneuver around cabs of large bucket trucks and small pickup trucks for mobile device support
•    Ability to lift 50 lbs
•    Daily travel around service territory required.

The compensation range for this position is $20 to $24      
(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
