Location: Minneapolis, MN 55402
Type: Hybrid (3 days onsite per week – contractor’s choice of days)
Contract Duration: Initial contract with strong likelihood of extension in 6-month increments

Overview:

Our client, a leading financial services organization, is seeking a UX Architect to join their experience design team in Minneapolis. This individual will be responsible for designing scalable solutions that support client configuration and customization within enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with strong prototyping and human-centered design skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design interfaces and experience architectures that are scalable across entire applications

• Apply a range of human-centered design techniques, including conceptual models, personas, user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes

• Optimize experience architecture for usability while aligning with business and technical requirements

• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, developers, researchers, and compliance to ensure seamless experience delivery

• Conduct competitive analysis and stay informed on trends to influence design decisions

• Participate in user research, usability testing, and observation sessions

• Review and improve upon peer design deliverables to ensure alignment with brand and pattern standards

• Deliver detailed design artifacts such as prototypes, process flows, and wireframes

• Participate in validating code implementation to ensure it meets UX and brand standards

• Work on multiple projects concurrently in an Agile environment

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Service Design, Experience Architecture, Information Architecture preferred) or equivalent experience

• 5–8 years of experience in UX or digital product design

• At least 1 year of team leadership experience

Preferred Skills:

• Expertise in UX best practices, service design, and interactive design principles

• Strong understanding of the design thinking process, workshop facilitation, and co-creation methodologies

• Familiarity with website architecture, responsive design, and user-centered design practices

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe XD

• Experience working across multiple channels (web, mobile, internal tools, etc.)

• Solid communication, facilitation, and presentation skills

• Ability to work independently and solve complex design challenges

• Understanding of CSS and front-end implementation considerations is a plus

The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $65.00 to $71.06/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
