Position Title: Experience Designer
Employment Type: W2 Contract through end of 2025 w/ likely extensions into 2026
Location: Hybrid – 3 Days/Week Onsite at Any EST Digital Hub that includes Atlanta, GA, Cincinnati, OH, New York, NY or Charlotte, NC 
Work Hours: Standard 8-Hour Days; Will Lead Offshore Team Based in Bangalore, India

Overview

Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a UX Architect to join their customer-facing web experience team. This role is a blend of strategic leadership and hands-on design execution. The ideal candidate is organized, self-motivated, and brings strong managerial experience, particularly in guiding offshore teams.

You will lead discovery sessions, map current-state experiences, and deliver a future-state vision. A sharp eye for design and strong information architecture skills are essential. Proficiency in Figma and experience with design systems, accessibility standards, and agile collaboration are required.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate discovery workshops, map current state, and define future vision.

• Apply human-centered design methods including conceptual models, personas, user flows, wireframes, and prototypes.

• Optimize information architecture for usability while aligning with business and technical constraints.

• Interpret and apply brand standards across interaction modules, screen layouts, style guides, and visual elements.

• Partner with product owners, developers, researchers, and analysts to translate requirements into scalable user experiences.

• Leverage and contribute to the organization’s design system and maintain adherence to accessibility best practices.

• Conduct and lead usability testing and user interviews.

• Review and provide feedback on peer deliverables to ensure alignment with design standards.

• Deliver key UX artifacts: wireframes, process flows, prototypes, and specifications.

• Participate in validating that developed code aligns with intended design.

• Work with headless systems and integrate third-party platforms with in-house experiences.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• 5–8 years of UX or digital design experience, including at least 1 year of experience managing onshore/offshore teams.

• Deep understanding of UX best practices, interactive design, accessibility, and information architecture.

• Familiarity with service design, co-creation workshops, and design thinking frameworks.

• Proficiency in Figma and common design tools.

• Experience designing responsive, component-based experiences; familiarity with CSS a plus.

• Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple concurrent projects in an Agile environment.

The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $65.00 to $71.06/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
