Job Title: Design Operations Specialist

Location: Remote (U.S. Based)
Employment Type: W2 Contract (Initial 6-months with possible extension)


Overview:

We are looking for a Design Operations Specialist to help scale the implementation of a tokenized design system across a replatforming initiative involving 6,000 branded sites. You will be responsible for improving design workflows, streamlining asset production, and ensuring high design fidelity as we migrate to Builder.io and introduce a new PIM and DAM system.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives at the intersection of design, systems thinking, and operational efficiency. You’ll help coordinate component creation, versioning, and integration with Builder.io and ensure that our brand system supports efficient reuse across luxury, premium, and mainstream brand sites.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive and document processes for design system governance and asset iteration

  • Support the creation and maintenance of component libraries for multiple brand tiers

  • Partner with designers and developers to build and QA reusable components within Builder.io

  • Align with design leadership to prioritize and roadmap system components

  • Ensure consistency and scalability of components through tokenized DLS

  • Manage tool integrations and pipelines between design (Figma) and delivery (Builder.io, Sunshare)

  • Facilitate weekly workshops and coordination meetings with internal and external partners


Qualifications:

  • 3–5+ years in a design ops, UX program management, or systems design role

  • Strong understanding of design systems and tokenization strategies

  • Proficiency in tools such as Figma, Builder.io, and DAM/PIM platforms

  • Experience operating in complex multi-brand or enterprise environments

  • Proven ability to build scalable processes for high-volume asset management

  • Organized, proactive, and collaborative with strong communication skills

    The hourly pay range for this position (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location) is $60.00 to $80.00/hr.  Benefits available to full-time employees: medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, 401k and commuter benefits.
