Title: Accounting Specialist
Location: Minneapolis, MN (Hybrid)
Duration: 3 Months Contract (Possible extension)


Job Description:
Join a fast-paced accounting operations team that plays a critical role in keeping financial activity accurate, balanced, and on track. As an Accounting Specialist, you’ll help clear transaction backlogs tied to ongoing operational needs and ATM conversions digging into discrepancies, completing daily balancing goals, and ensuring deadlines and service levels are consistently met. You’ll work with a collaborative team (primarily Minneapolis-based) where priorities can shift quickly, and accuracy is essential to mitigating risk and keeping accounts clean.
Required Skills

  • Ability to process accounting transactions with strong attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness
  • Experience with reconciling accounts/ledgers, researching discrepancies, and making corrections or adjustments
  • Comfort working in a high-volume, fast-changing environment with daily goals and SLAs
  • Strong problem-solving skills to identify exceptions and interpret data
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Proficient computer navigation skills, including Microsoft Office and the ability to work across multiple systems
  • Clear communication skills to respond to and resolve inquiries
Nice to Have Skills
  • Experience with reconciliation in a banking environment
  • Exposure to ATM reconciliation and/or ATM conversion support
  • Experience with GL uploads, balancing overages/shortages, and running adjustments
  • Familiarity with preparing routine financial reports and analyses
Preferred Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year of relevant experience in accounting operations, transaction processing, bookkeeping, or reconciliation work.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $24.40(dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
