TITLE: Infrastructure Monitoring Analyst
LOCATION: Atlanta, Ga.
ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 07/27/2026 to 07/27/2029

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage distributed computing environment, including mainframe, Windows servers, Unix/Linux servers, web applications, Enterprise Storage, and databases.
  • Diagnose and resolve infrastructure issues by utilizing event management tools and support resources.
  • Interface and coordinate repair efforts with external vendors and service providers.
  • Work with multiple systems groups and the Technology Organization to ensure the integrity of computing and mainframe networks.
  • Provide centralized monitoring and first-line problem diagnosis for computing systems and technologies, including batch streams on mainframe and open systems.
  • Track and document all issues and resolutions in detail for future reference.
  • Monitor backup processes related to disaster recovery for critical applications.
  • Provide first-line problem determination and recovery for application abnormalities such as abends.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement in frontline troubleshooting, tools, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot events affecting the health and availability of the computing environment.

Requirements:

  • Fundamental knowledge of infrastructure event management tools and support resources.
  • Ability to interface and coordinate repair efforts with external vendors and partners.
  • Experience working with systems groups and technology teams to maintain environment integrity.
  • Knowledge of mainframe, open systems, and distributed file systems.
  • Experience with job scheduling and automated support tools such as CA Jobtrac, AutoSys, and Control-M.
  • Understanding of various operating systems and databases including z/OS, MVS, CICS, IDMS, DB2, SQL, Oracle, and related technologies.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to organize tasks, manage multiple priorities, and meet schedules.
  • Ability to work proactively and take ownership of issues.
  • Education in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or related field, or 5+ years of experience in a mainframe or computer systems environment preferred.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in 24x7x365 operations.
  • Knowledge of IBM mainframe and related systems (z/OS, MVS, TSO, ISPF, JCL, JES2, MQ Series, OPS/MVS).
  • Experience with production application support tools and automated schedulers.
  • Demonstrated ability to model behaviors supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $30.00 to $35.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
