TITLE: Sr AV Systems & Event Engineer

LOCATION: San Francisco, CA

ANTICIPATED DURATION: From 08/03/2026  to 12/31/2026 

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct client pre-production meetings to gather requirements and understand event objectives.
  • Serve as the primary technical point of contact for clients before and during events.
  • Operate and support event technology, including PTZ camera systems, Roland video switchers, projectors, display systems, and audio/video signal routing.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues related to AV systems and collaboration technologies.
  • Assess conference room technology requirements and recommend solutions.
  • Communicate system requirements, design modifications, and field observations to third-party AV integrators.
  • Oversee implementation activities and ensure installations align with project requirements.
  • Participate in testing, commissioning, and user acceptance activities.
  • Respond to break/fix requests for conference room AV systems and collaboration technologies.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, audio, video, and control system issues.
  • Perform routine technology sweeps to ensure conference rooms are fully operational and event-ready.
  • Validate the functionality of displays, projectors, microphones, speakers, cameras, touch panels, and room control systems.
  • Test video conferencing platforms, presentation sharing, and room scheduling functionality.

    Requirements:
  • Strong understanding of enterprise AV systems and live event technologies.
  • Experience with Q-SYS platforms, Syco/Syco-based room management technologies, PTZ camera systems, video switching and routing, projection and display technologies, and audio DSP and conferencing systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot AV systems and communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting live events and conference room technology deployments.
  • Experience working with third-party AV integrators and installation partners.
  • Ability to work from August 2026 through December 2026.
  • Hours: 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday – Friday.
  • Location: San Francisco, CA.
  • Travel: Occasional travel required to New York and Arizona to support client events and technology initiatives.

    Preferred Experience:
  • Corporate event production and executive meeting support.
  • Conference room deployment and AV integration projects.
  • Client-facing consulting and technical discovery sessions.
  • Working directly with third-party AV integrators and installation partners.

    The hourly pay rate range for this position is $80.00 to $87.00 (dependent on factors including but not limited to client requirements, experience, statutory considerations, and location).
