Since the beginning of my career with Synergis, recruiting for and networking with learning and development talent has been one of the best parts of my job. I leave every conversation having learned something and I enjoy speaking to professionals who are so incredibly passionate about what they do.

With kids going back to school (mostly virtually) and adults still working from home, we need to continue tweaking training and learning for an online or e-learning setting. Many people felt the pain of starting this transition from in-classroom to online in the spring. But there are still plenty of lessons to be learned to make it better.

Many kids are getting ready to go back to school, but in a virtual or remote learning setting instead of in-person. That puts added pressure on the parents working from home who are also trying to be part-time teachers. And probably has made the school supply needs a bit different this year.

In my role at Synergis, I live and breathe learning and development and finding the right training courses for our employees. I especially love when I find a resource that offers free classes. And in this time of remote working and the increased need for online courses, there are more options than ever before to choose from.

Over the last few years, the virtual “work from home” world has grown. But with the onset of COVID-19, it hit most businesses like a ton of bricks. And the situation is leaving many struggling with how to truly operate their business remotely. Even more, how to continue the Learning & Development program for your employees.
